Champions of Europe is a traditional football simulation video game released for the Sega Master System in 1992 to coincide with the UEFA Euro 1992football tournament. It was developed and published by TecMagik. It is a top-down football game that was the only official game of the tournament available for the Master System. Box artwork and in game screens feature the official logo of the tournament and the image of the official mascot, Berni the Bunni.
Game modes[edit]
The game feature both single-player and multiplayer game modes. Practice mode allows one player to pass the ball around the pitch without there being any opposition players on the field. Exhibition mode allows one or two players to compete in a single 'friendly' match. The other mode is Tournament. There is also a demo mode so players can watch a match being played. The menu screen allows a player to choose from a selection of referees, although there is no noticeable difference between them.
Practice Mode is the default mode in all games. It is turned on via the Play button and stopped via the Pause button. Practice Mode defaults to Phantom Clay on – to show you where the correct lead is. Once you have gotten the hang of it, you can turn the Phantom off and continue to Practice without it. CLAZER is available for Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays. It has a Teaching Mode to show the basics of the game, a Practice Mode to learn correct lead, and a Competition Mode – where you can play against other CLAZER users on a world wide Leaderboard. Get CLAZER for HTC Vive. Practice Mode - Hentai loop by Derpixon.
Tournament mode[edit]
As this game was the Sega Master System's only official game of Euro 92 it allowed either one or two players to progress through the tournament from the group stages to the final. As with the actual tournament there are two groups of four teams in the first stage, moving on to two semi-finals and culminating in the final. The player can choose to play as any country in Europe (as of the time of production), which is selected from a map screen. If there are two human players entered, player two will plays as the opponent for all of player one's matches through the competition.
Gameplay[edit]
Visuals[edit]
The match is viewed from a 75° angle, and there is the option of where to place the pitch radar if the player wishes to have it on the screen at all. Each team has correct kit colours for their respective country, however these are always plain shirts.
Controls[edit]
The Sega Master System control pad has two action buttons. In Champions of Europe one button is used for passing/tackling and the other button for shooting. While not in possession of the ball a button can be pressed to generate a 'speed-burst'. The directional pad allows for player movement and for applying 'aftertouch' to a shot or pass. There is the ability to change the formation while in possession of the ball, but this is considered impractical during gameplay[1]
Sound[edit]
On the introduction animation there is an uptempo soundtrack.
There are a few in-game sound effects, those being for the ball being kicked or bouncing and the referee's whistle. An additional feature is that the players and referee often display speech bubbles with brief wording to represent what is being said between players.
Glitches[edit]
- There is a glitch (which some players exploit in order to cheat) that gives the player points for scoring in their own net.[2]
- Another glitch occurs when quitting a game with a 0-0 scoreline at the semi-final stage of the tournament. This automatically propels the player into the final.[2]
Reception[edit]
- In issue 34 of Zero magazine, reviewer Patrick McCarthy gave the game a score of 87%.[1] His only real criticisms relating to collision detection for the goalkeepers, and the aforementioned formation changing function.

If you have ever watched streams of professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players, you will know that they sometimes go into a game just by themself, to practice all kinds of stuff. Usually, this includes practicing grenades (we have made a nade config for this), spray patterns, grenade trajectories, and other stuff. They will often add bots to the game, and use various console commands, some of which require sv_cheats 1 to be enabled.
If you are unfamiliar with what a config file and autoexec is, you should start with our CS:GO config guide. This will explain how to make a config and autoexec cfg file for CS:GO and go more in-depth with how to use console commands.
You would usually not use these commands in scrims or practice games, but rather in a solo game with bots enabled.
In the end, we have included a full practice config, that you can download and use yourself. We have also included console commands and binds for bots and unlimited ammo etc.
This guide will include commands and config for grenade trajectories, show impact, bots, various binds, some sv_cheats 1 commands and other useful console commands. You can copy and paste the commands to your in-game console, or you can download the config file and execute it from the game. You can use our script to practice pop flashes, nades, different angles, smoke grenades, molotovs (Molotov cocktails), spray control or weapon spray patterns, or other useful stuff. Download Full Practice Config
If you just want to download a ready-to-use config file, we got you. The below config file will have all the commands you need + some additional keybinds. Just download it, put it in your config folder and type exec practice
Practice commands – copy & paste to console
This is the same commands, but in a format where you can just copy and paste them to your console when in-game.
Server, teambalance, roundtime and remove bots:
Practice commands and give grenades:
How to install the practice config
- Rename the file to whatever you like, but make sure the filetype ending is “.cfg” and not “.txt”.
Example: practice.cfg - Move the config file to your CS:GO cfg folder, usually the path to the location is:
SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensivecsgocfg - Start CS:GO, remember to enable the developer console.
- Open the console and type: exec practice.cfg
- This will execute your practice config, and all the commands in the config.
Server commands and config
To give you a better understanding of the commands in the config, we will now go through all the commands found in the config, plus some additional commands you might find useful if you want to create your own practice config.
You need to be the admin to execute most of these commands. If you start an offline game, you will be the admin by default.
Start an offline game with bots in CS:GO
To start an offline game to practice with bots, do the following:
- Launch CS:GO
- In the top left corner, click Play CS:GO
- From the dropdown menu, select Practice With Bots
- Select a game mode (competitive, casual, deathmatch)
- Select a map
- Click GO
Open the console in CS:GO
To activate any commands, you need to open the developer console. Most people have the console bound to the tilde key (~) on your keyboard.
You can see which key opens the console in your keybind settings.
If you cannot open the console, you might need to activate it. This is fairly simple:
- Go to game settings
- Set “Enable Developer Console (~)” to YES.
Enable sv_cheats 1
Most of the commands require that cheats (or sv_cheats) are enabled. To enable cheats, open the console and type:
sv_cheats 1
To disable cheats again, open the console and type sv_cheats 0 instead.
If you want to know more about sv_cheats commands, check out our CS:GO sv_cheats 1 guide.
